Key Club Structure
Because Key Club is so large, there is a solid structure that allows it to function.
Our school Key Club is made up of officers: the president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, bulletin editor, and webmaster. Our school is part of Division 11, and the New York District. There are a couple schools in each division with a Lieutenant Governor, or LTG, in charge of each, and their board. Our divisional board consists of the LTG, an executive assistant, a secretary, a webmaster, a historian, and a social media chair. The president of our club, Hunter, files a monthly report, or MRF, to our LTG. Our LTG also creates a monthly newsletter to inform the clubs of what's been going on. There are divisionals where the Lt. G is elected. About twenty divisions make up a district. In the New York District, there are about 28 divisions. The District Board is made up of a governor, secretary, treasurer, bulletin editor, tech chair, project chair, convention chair, and the LTGs. These people are either appointed by the governor or elected at the annual District Convention - LTC for us. The international level is made up of the districts. The board consists of the international president, vice president, and the trustees. Every year, the International Convention (often abbreviated as ICON) takes place where thousands of Key Clubbers across the world come together to elect the international officers, review accomplishments of the past year and set policies for the coming year. |
